In June we decided to host a Big Red Tea Party in honour of a very special little girl from Peter’s Patch who has been battling Leukemia for the last while. The Tea Party was to raise money for Leukemia and Lymphoma NI who do incredible research into defeating blood cancers. They also produce some wonderful material to help children understand what is happening to them or their friends. You can find out more or donate at www. llni.co.uk
We are incredibly proud to say that together we raised £400 for LLNI! There was a lot of baking and a lot of eating but together we managed it!
The children all had a great time trying out different recipes, weighing and measuring, mixing, and scooping! Tom Kittens even made some vegan cookies! There was chocolate brownies and Rice Krispy buns galore! Suzanne and Zoe did a fabulous job rustling up enough sandwiches for everyone each day and of course no tea party would be complete without a scone and jam! It was all delicious!
