Today is Safer Internet Day and this year the theme is “It’s all fun and games?” with a big focus on our children and how they use the online gaming world!
With a marked rise in online gaming during the pandemic it is vital that we see the sometimes-hidden dangers in what our children are exposed to and understand fully the games they play.
It is so important to open dialogue with our children, set boundaries and build confidence and trust that they can talk to us about what is going on in their virtual world.
The NSPCC has put together a fantast webinar for parents and carers to help them get a bit of an insight into the world of online gaming! It is available here: https://youtu.be/YO6Ux7qfYXk
There are also lots more resources for families and children of all ages on the Safer Internet Website: Home - Safer Internet Day
If you are worried about your child and their use of online games, please speak to a member of the team and we will do all we can to support you in finding the right help and information.
