June was a busy month for us here at Peter’s Patch! One of the highlights was a visit from Blackberry Farm during our Fun Day! Claire brought along lots of amazing animals for us to look at, touch and learn about. Some of them we had never seen before – like Bambi the Alpaca! He has massive teeth and loved carrots!
We got to sing the animals songs all about them too – chick chick chick chicken for the little red hen and 5 little ducks for Jemima who was the biggest most beautiful duck we have ever seen! And you’ll never guess what? A real Peter Rabbit came too!! And Benjamin and two bunny friends with beautiful long floppy ears! They were so soft! (even when they did get a bit wet!)
There were tiny baby ducklings that we could touch with just one finger because they were only 3 days old! We got to take Fudge the goat for a walk and brush his coat! He ate so much grass!
It was a very wet day but we didn’t mind at all! We had so much fun and then to top it all off the ice cream van arrived!! Everyone got an ice cream cone and strawberry sauce! DELICIOUS! A great way to end a fabulous fun day!
